Our Story - Meet the Mamas

The Maasai Collection was created to share the extraordinary craftsmanship of the Maasai Mara Mamas with the world.

For generations, Maasai women have used beadwork to tell stories of identity, nature and community. Their work is bold, intricate and deeply skilled, yet too often undervalued. We work directly with the Mamas to transform this traditional craft into beautiful, functional pieces for everyday life, beginning with hand-beaded leather dog collars and leashes and a small collection of matching human accessories.

Every piece is handmade, ethically produced and one of a kind. By cutting out middlemen and working in fair partnership, we ensure the women behind the craft are recognised, fairly paid and able to benefit directly from the success of their work.
